1. RTF — Role | Task | Format

Purpose: Direct and structured prompts that clearly define who ChatGPT is, what it must do, and how the output should be structured.

• Role: Defines who/what ChatGPT acts as
  Example: “Act as a TED Talk speaker”
• Task: What you want ChatGPT to do
  Example: “Explain quantum computing to teenagers”
• Format: How you want the output delivered
  Example: “In 5 bullet points with analogies”

2. RISE — Role | Input | Steps | Expectation

Purpose: Excellent for step-by-step processes and guided workflows.

• Role: Assign a specific expert identity

• Input: Provide data or context
  Example: “Here’s a user feedback file…”
• Steps: Ask for a clear breakdown of the process
  Example: “Follow a 4-step process to analyze.”
• Expectation: Define what success looks like
  Example: “Summarize key insights and suggest UX improvements.”

3. APE — Action | Purpose | Expectation

Purpose: Action-focused prompts with clarity on intention and desired outcome.

• Expectation: Final format or goal
